DJI Ronin 2

The DJI Ronin 2 is a 3-axis motorized gimbal system designed for heavy camera payloads. It supports a maximum payload of approximately 13.6 kg, allowing stable operation with cinema cameras such as the ARRI Alexa Mini, Sony FX9, RED DSMC2 bodies, and similar systems.

The gimbal uses high-torque, enclosed motors capable of resisting high wind loads and vehicle-mounted operation. Power distribution is integrated through dual TB50 battery mounts, enabling hot-swap capability and continuous operation. The system provides regulated power outputs (12V, D-Tap, and other ports) for cameras, wireless video transmitters, and accessories.

The Ronin 2 features dual GPS modules for horizon reference, encoded motor control, and fine-tunable stiffness parameters for precise stabilization. The carbon-fiber frame construction minimizes flex under load and maintains rigidity during dynamic movement. Configuration options include handheld mode, aerial/vehicle mounting, Steadicam mode, and crane/jib integration through its universal mount.

Control interfaces include DJI Master Wheels, DJI Force Pro, and standard 2.4/5.8 GHz wireless control. Setup is managed through the built-in touchscreen or the connected app for motor tuning, balance presets, and operational profiles. The gimbal also includes a built-in 2.4-inch monitor for on-body configuration.
