DJI RS 2 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer
The DJI RS 2 is a 3-axis handheld gimbal stabilizer designed for mirrorless and compact cinema camera systems. It supports a maximum payload of approximately 4.5 kg, making it suitable for fully rigged mirrorless cameras and lightweight cinema builds.
The stabilizer uses high-torque brushless motors and DJI’s stabilization algorithms to maintain smooth camera movement during handheld operation, walking shots, and dynamic motion sequences. Axis locks allow independent locking of each axis for transport and quick balancing adjustments.
The RS 2 features a carbon-fiber monocoque arm design, reducing weight while maintaining structural rigidity. An integrated 1.4-inch touchscreen display allows direct control of settings, motor tuning, and operating modes without requiring a mobile device.
Control and monitoring are supported through Bluetooth connectivity and the DJI Ronin mobile app, enabling motor configuration, calibration, and motion control programming. The system supports multiple operating modes including PF, PTF, FPV, and 3D roll.
Power is supplied by a BG30 detachable battery grip, providing extended runtime suitable for full production days depending on usage. The RS 2 supports accessory integration such as wireless focus systems, camera control cables, and mounting points for monitors or transmitters.
