Sony Alpha 7 III (ILCE-7M3) Mirrorless Digital Camera
The Sony Alpha 7 III (ILCE-7M3) is a full-frame mirrorless camera built around a 24.2MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor. It supports internal 4K recording (UHD up to 30fps) using full-pixel readout with oversampling from 6K, resulting in improved detail and reduced moiré.
The camera records in 8-bit 4:2:0 internally and outputs 8-bit 4:2:2 via HDMI. It supports S-Log2, S-Log3, and HLG profiles, allowing extended dynamic range for grading workflows. The sensor offers strong low-light performance with a wide ISO range and good noise control.
Autofocus is driven by a 693-point phase-detection system, providing reliable subject tracking for both video and stills. The body includes 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS), reducing camera shake during handheld operation.
The camera uses dual SD card slots (one UHS-II compatible) and supports long recording durations. Build quality is compact and suitable for gimbal, handheld, or lightweight rig configurations.
